Special Educational Needs (SEN) Provisions

At Nappy Gang Nursery, we are dedicated to ensuring that every child, regardless of their individual needs, receives the support and opportunities necessary to thrive. We recognise that some children may require additional help, and our SEN provisions are designed to offer tailored support in a nurturing environment.

Our SEN Support

1. Individualised Learning Plans (ILPs)

1. Individualised Learning Plans (ILPs)

For children identified with special educational needs, we create Individualised Learning Plans that outline specific goals and the strategies we will use to help achieve them. These plans are regularly reviewed and adjusted in collaboration with parents and, where appropriate, external specialists.

2. Trained SENCO Staff

Our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) is responsible for overseeing our SEN provisions. The SENCO works closely with our team, providing guidance and support to ensure that all staff are equipped to meet the diverse needs of our children. Staff regularly participate in SEN training to stay informed about best practices.

We work closely with parents to identify and support any additional needs their child may have. Open communication is key, and we encourage parents to share any concerns or observations so that we can address them together.

When necessary, we liaise with external professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, or educational psychologists to ensure that children receive comprehensive support. We are committed to working in partnership with these professionals to provide the best outcomes for the child.
