We recognise that some children may require additional help, and our SEN provisions are designed to offer tailored support in a nurturing environment.
For children identified with special educational needs, we create Individualised Learning Plans that outline specific goals and the strategies we will use to help achieve them. These plans are regularly reviewed and adjusted in collaboration with parents and, where appropriate, external specialists.
Our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) is responsible for overseeing our SEN provisions. The SENCO works closely with our team, providing guidance and support to ensure that all staff are equipped to meet the diverse needs of our children. Staff regularly participate in SEN training to stay informed about best practices.
We strive to create an inclusive environment where all children can participate fully in activities, regardless of their abilities. Our nursery is equipped with resources and tools to support children with a range of needs, and our activities are adapted as necessary to ensure inclusivity.
We work closely with parents to identify and support any additional needs their child may have. Open communication is key, and we encourage parents to share any concerns or observations so that we can address them together.
When necessary, we liaise with external professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, or educational psychologists to ensure that children receive comprehensive support. We are committed to working in partnership with these professionals to provide the best outcomes for the child.
